The Preamble Institute (Pi) is Theta Delta Chi's signature leadership retreat.
It will be hosted in January in Greensboro, North Carolina, home to the University of North Carolina Greensboro and the Mu Triton Charge.
Pi attendees will travel to Greensboro on Friday the 17th and return home on Monday the 20th.
Each Charge is required to send one delegate. This delegate comes at no expense to the Charge.
The required delegate's travel costs will be covered by the Grand Lodge. Delegates flying should book their flights directly with Grand Lodge staff. Delegates driving will be reimbursed by check for their round-trip mileage.
Required delegates also have their hotel, registration, and food covered.
Please note that required delegates must attend all sessions to avoid their Charge being billed the total cost.
Want to register additional delegates? Please email glstaff@tdx.org to discuss costs and details.

Time, Date & Location of Pi:
What to do upon arrival:
Check-in at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Reservations have been made. All reservations are for double rooms. You will be sharing with another Pi delegate. The Grand Lodge has paid for the room, tax, and parking. Incidentals and any other charges will be the guest’s responsibility. You will need to be in the hotel lobby at 5:30 pm. Afterward, we will travel to the first scheduled event, dinner.
What to pack:
The weather in Greensboro, NC is likely to be chilly. Please pack accordingly as we will have some outside travel. There is the option to walk or take the bus between the hotel and campus. The event does not have a formal dress code. You may want to pack letters or Theta Delt gear. The closing dinner on Sunday is more formal. The suggested dress code is a collared shirt, as we will be taking pictures at the end of the event.
Expectations for the Preamble Institute:
The Preamble Institute is a substance-free weekend; failure to comply will result in your Charge being billed for the cost of attendance. All attendees should also know that total attendance and participation are expected and integral to the institute’s success. Failure to attend will also result in your Charge being billed with the cost of attendance. Please show up on time.
Travel details:
Flying Delegates,
Please review your flight itinerary now! Your airline confirmation number (NOT the Expedia itinerary number) will allow you to access your flight details on your respective airlines' mobile app. This is the easiest way to check in, get your boarding pass, and receive updates on your flight. If the Grand Lodge booked your flight and you need any flight information, please text John Lowry. If you still need travel booked, reach out to John ASAP.
The Grand Lodge will arrange all flying delegates' transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. Flying delegates will receive a second email about being picked up from the airport.
Driving Delegates,
You are expected to arrive at the hotel by 4:30 pm. This will give you enough time to check in to the hotel and be ready in the lobby at 5:30 pm. There is parking at the hotel that can be billed to the room.
If you have questions, please reach out to staff.
In The Bonds,
Grand Lodge Staff
